Can I submit material by other methods?

Yes.

Post your material to Weston Web at the address above, preferably clearly typed so that it can be scanned to minimize typing. Or, it can be faxed to 0871 242 6853. If your submission is short, or you are notifying an event, you may telephone. Full contact details.

Are there any restrictions on the type of material submitted?

Almost any material is welcomed; it is, after all, your website. However, we will not publish material which is considered by the editor to be obscene or offensive.

It should also be noted that submissions may be subject to editing (for example, to make the material fit the format, to remove references that may be libelous, or to remove offensive language from material that is otherwise of interest.)

All contributions are subject to editing but if you are not willing to allow editing of your material, please indicate this on your submission. If the material is publishable in the submitted form, it will be published. Otherwise, we will contact you to discuss the matter.

I have a good idea that may improve the site. What do I do?

Let us know.

We want this site to be the best community site on the web, so we will certainly give due consideration to any good ideas.

Contact mail@westonweb.co.uk.

I haven't got internet access. How can I view Weston Web?

How are you reading this?

There is a computer with internet access at the Weston Branch Library. This is free to members of B&NES Libraries, or a nominal charge for 30 minutes for non-members. If the site takes off and we get enough material and interest, we may consider producing a print version in the future.

Also, you may consider reading the Weston "What's On" publication that is posted locally to each door and is available from Weston Library.

Why does Weston Web look so 1990's?

This web site is in the process of being updated and will be upgraded to provide a more interactive browsing experience. This takes a lot of voluntary time and this is now undertaken freely by BasilCat Web Designs and the 2nd Bath Boys' Brigade (Weston Free Church).

Mushroom Publishing (of Weston) is still the publisher and sponsor of the web hosting environment and domain name.

How is the site paid for?

Currently, the site is supported exclusively by Mushroom Publishing, but this cannot continue for ever. We are beginning to add some sponsor links to the web pages in the hope that these will generate income. We are also planning to accept small advertisements and sell web space. More details of advertising rates for shops and other businesses will be published in the near future. You can support the site by clicking on some of the sponsor and advertiser links that you may see dotted around the site.
